Villa Athenais on the Greek island of Kea is a villa with a swimming pool, easy access to the island’s two best beaches and amazing views of the sunrise and the other Cycladic islands with the blue Mediterranean ever constant.

Villa Athenais harmoniously blends with its captivating surroundings, offering stunning sea views of the Aegean Sea and a spectacular sunrise.

Villa Athenais is situated on the east coast of the island, nestled on the top of a hill next to a wild canyon, overlooking the blue sea and eleven other islands: Andros, Tinos, Giaros, Siros, Mykonos, Serifos, Siphnοs, Kithnos, even Paros and Naxos and Evia in the far left.

Its architecture was based on the positive energy aesthetics of Feng Shui, which insure hospitality to the guest along with sensations of peace, pleasure, and a union with nature.

The view from the terraces is staggering. The eye relaxes in the never-ending blue horizon, that liberates both the mind and the soul. Thanks to the constant boat crossing in the sea roads stretching ahead, the visitor enjoys an ongoing seascape. Images from the ancient galleys deluge the imagination since the same route was followed by those who conquered Troy. Just like the vivid, endless starry sky, especially on full moon nights, which nostalgically incarnate the poetic inspirations of Sappho.

Two of Kea’s best beaches, Sikamia and Kalidonihi, with their crystalline waters and Cycladic stone lapped by the sea, are very easily accessible.

Villa Athenais hosts up to 25 guests and is recommended for those who desire a nature-accented, spiritual, and/or romantic getaway in a homey private setting away from city noise and rat race. It is also an ideal gathering place for families and groups of friends who want to celebrate an important event or just relax in an atmosphere of absolute privacy.

Villa Athenais can be rented separately (except for July and August) since it is composed of 5 self-contained units that constitute 5 independent residences.

At Villa Athenais, you will experience a sensational interaction with the nature of Kea, an island of wild, untamed beauty, steeped in Greek mythology, that is both so far and so near. KEA is only one hour by ferry from the port of Lavrion just a short drive south from Athen’s Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.

Villa Athenais has large terraces with a spectacular view of the sparkling sea and a modern kidney-shaped swimming pool is situated in front.

The five residences offer fresh towels and sheets, as well as a brand new fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The beds have anatomically friendly mattresses of excellent quality and the windows and balcony doors have screens to keep out insects. While usually unnecessary due to excellent natural ventilation, even in the summer hottest days, all rooms have ceiling fans and, in the winter, central heating is provided.

Other amenities include a spacious parking area, an outside shower, deck chairs, and umbrellas complimenting the pool area.

There is also a garden with a large variety of trees and flowers as well as a small vineyard nearby. The crown jewel on the property is a restored stoned-rimmed threshing area for grinding wheat and other grains dating from the 19th century.

Cleaning occurs every day, the changing of the towels every second day and the changing of the bedsheets twice a week

You feel that you are standing at a ship's bridge as you can admire from every room, even from the kitchen the spectacular view of the sparkling sea. This residence is 110 square meters in size with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi and can accommodate up to 6 people. Each room has its own identity, decorated with earthy and vivid colors. There is a fireplace in the living room.

All linens are provided and the modern kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances. The beds have anatomically friendly mattresses of excellent quality and the windows and balcony doors have screens to keep out insects.

The residence has central heating in the event of cool weather as well as ceiling fans, while usually unnecessary due to excellent natural ventilation, even in the summer hottest days.

Among the facilities, the residence features a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, espresso maker, toaster, electric water heater, kitchen utensils, washing machine, CD player, and Jacuzzi.

On the veranda, there are bamboo sofas, a table with fitted chairs, a built barbecue, a big hand-made table which can host all the guests of Villa Athenais.

At this residence, an extra person can sleep on the large sofa or an extra bed can be provided upon request.
