It is the island’s largest church. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Church of Panagia looks down on Chora and was built in the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. It features incredible pieces of art, including sculptures and statues. The viw from there is stunning.
