Paros has emerged as one of the 25 best holiday islands for 2025, according to the British newspaper Telegraph.
The 25 islands were chosen by the newspaper’s travel editors because they offer unique holiday experiences and at the same time opportunities to relax on their beautiful beaches. Each island was evaluated in 5 categories, for the beaches, activities, culture, scenery and luxury they offer.
As stated in the relevant Telegraph article, Mykonos may be a magnet for international visitors, but Paros, 45 minutes away by ferry, has been a holiday destination for Greeks for many years, thanks to its sandy beaches, blue waters and picturesque white villages with tavernas. At the same time, Naoussa has luxury boutique hotels and beautiful cocktail bars.
The other island destinations recommended by the Telegraph are: St Mary’s Harbour in the Isles of Scilly, Hvar in Croatia, Seixal in Madeira, the bridge that connects the island of Île de Ré with the French mainland, the beaches of Formentera, Zanzibar, Iceland, Sardinia with its pink flamingos, Lamai Beach on Koh Samui, the Mezzatorre Hotel in Ischia, the Heaval Outer Hebrides islands on the west coast of Scotland, Mallorca, Vancouver, the Galapagos with its seals, Mauritius, the Maldives, the Hana Highway in Maui, St. George’s in Grenada, the Tiu Kelep waterfall in northern Lombok, St. Lucia in the Caribbean, Jamaica, Moorea in French Polynesia, the Galle Fort Lighthouse in Sri Lanka Lanka and the Seychelles.
